If a piece of music has ever given you goosebumps or made you shiver, you’ve experienced frisson — French for “shivers” or “chills”.
Frisson. So… why Tingles? Simply put, before I knew the technical term, that’s what I called it. I aim to create those same unforgettable musical moments — those Tingles — as your DJ.
With Tingles, the focus is simple: great music, carefully selected for your occasion. I believe the right music, at the right moment, can create memories that last a lifetime. That’s why I focus on the music — creating the atmosphere, energy, and moments that make your event special.

Lovely. So who am I?
Well, my real name is Russell Gillman, and I’m a UK music producer, DJ, web designer & developer, and dad. I’ve always had a passion for music — I was DJ’ing my own primary school discos by around the age of 9, and I now DJ those same events at my son’s primary school!
In my teens I started taking on paid DJ bookings — initially through family and friends, then via word of mouth. I also began producing my own music (my original productions are now on SoundCloud). Both continued as serious hobbies for years, as I DJ’ed at birthdays, celebrations, social occasions, garden parties, and a couple of weddings — including my own!
With the emergence of livestreaming I started taking things more seriously still, creating a growing archive of timeless live DJ sets on Mixcloud, filled with music that I love, that can hopefully be enjoyed by me, my son, and others (perhaps including you!) in years to come.
After reaching 101 DJ sets in my LIVE! series on Mixcloud, I started a new series — which I called Tingles. The name struck a chord with me, and it felt like the perfect name for the next chapter of my musical journey.
